Mission Statement

Baby Basics National Development Corp is a nonprofit all volunteer organization that supports local affiliate to provide and distribute diapers to children of the working/near poor in their communities.

We believe that early intervention with infants is one of the best ways to maximize their potential to thrive.  And we recognize that diapers are a constant, expensive necessity. By providing these children with diapers, we are helping to ensure that the need for basic hygienic essential, diapers, is met.  We support babies birth to three years.  We also provide their families, who are struggling to make ends meet but have incomes too high to qualify for federal and state subsidies, with a supportive safety net from welfare and the opportunity to succeed. We will do this in a caring environment, with a listening ear, and as needed, referrals for help, and the opportunity to connect with other programs and services in your local area.

Baby Basics operates with the aid of volunteers and a working Board and distributes diapers to participating families twice monthly. We rely on private donations and fundraisers, 100% of which goes to the purchase of diapers, unless earmarked by the donor for administrative costs.

Beyond being just a diaper distribution program, it is our goal to provide a supportive atmosphere and community for these families who are working hard. This is our kindness. Baby Basics strives to be that connection to a caring community of support and a safe place to share their daily struggles and successes, hopefully relieving the sense of isolation for these struggling families.
